Your responsibilities
In this role, you will primarily – though not exclusively – undertake varied and challenging duties within the warehouse, ensuring that tasks relating to goods receipt and proper storage are carried out correctly and on time, as well as delivering goods just-in-time to the relevant internal departments. Profile
- You will have the following qualifications and skills:
- Successfully completed vocational training in warehousing/logistics
- Professional experience in warehousing/logistics, ideally combined with some management experience
- Forklift licence and a Class B driving licence
- Basic IT skills in logistics
- Good written and spoken German
- Good and quick comprehension
- Ability to work independently, as well as manual and technical skills
- Written and spoken English would be an advantage
- Reliability, a sense of responsibility and the ability to work in a team
- Interest in a long-term role

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
In this role, you will primarily, but not exclusively, take on a varied and challenging position in the field of turning technology.
Varied and challenging work in machining as part of a small team.
WHAT WE EXPECT:
- You will ensure the professional and timely implementation of tasks with the following qualifications and skills:
- Completed vocational training as a machining mechanic specialising in turning technology, ideally with comprehensive experience in turning technology and a willingness to learn about milling technology.
- Independent programming of turning and milling operations with practical training.
- Independent operation and setup of CNC turning and milling machines
- Measuring, testing and documenting components according to drawings and specifications
- Programming skills in the control of SIEMENS 810/840 D Shop Turn, Heidenhain Eltropilot, Heidenhain Turn Plus, Fanuc Series 16-M or similar
- Programming and tool selection with Alphacam
- Reliability, sense of responsibility, ability to work in a team and interest in a long-term position.

Working student market analysis business development (rail vehicles) (m/f/d)

Objective of the role
The role supports the management of SCHÖMA Lokomotiven GmbH in analysing markets, customer requirements and competitive environments for existing and new rail vehicles (e.g. construction and maintenance vehicles, shunting locomotives, special vehicles).
The aim is to give students practical insight into the strategic issues facing an industrial company while at the same time developing a sound basis for decision-making on product, market and further development issues.
The tasks are deliberately designed to span multiple projects and are closely supervised at the outset, with the opportunity to gradually take on more responsibility.
Tasks and activities
1. Market and environment research
• Support in collecting, structuring and evaluating market data in the following areas:
o Rail vehicles
o Construction, maintenance and service vehicles
o Shunting locomotives and special vehicles
• Research on:
o Market segments and typical application scenarios
o Customer and operator structures (e.g. infrastructure operators, construction companies, industry)
o Technological and regulatory framework conditions
• Presentation of results in a clear and comprehensible form
2. Competitive and comparative analyses
• Collaboration in the identification of relevant competitors and alternative solutions
• Support in comparative analyses with regard to:
o Technical concepts
o Application profiles
o Economic aspects (e.g. price levels, operating concepts)
• Structured presentation of similarities and differences
3. Support during customer and market meetings
• Preparation of meeting documents for customer and partner meetings
• Participation in selected meetings together with experienced colleagues
• Structured follow-up and summary of meeting content
• Derivation of customer requirements and typical decision-making factors
4. Use of external market information
• Support in the evaluation of external market and industry studies
• Comparison of external information with internal findings
• Assistance in summarising relevant statements for internal purposes
5. Preparation for management and project teams
